Here's the gang as we met up in front of Tutu's "Dear Jane" quilt.  Did I say "Winning Quilt"?  That's me (Alice) on the left, Wendy is on the right, and Nancy is in the middle.  Wendy shared some wonderful family photos!

Here are two full shots of the quilt.  It was magnificent in person!  This shows the quilt head on.  I can't believe that this was her first quilt.  So beautifully done!

This is a manhole quilt done by Kris.  We were sorry we didn't get to see her, but we heard her bus trip was cancelled, thanks to hurricane Isabel.   The quilt is beautiful! Here we are again, admiring Kris's quilt.  Wendy then went back to class, Nancy had just arrived so she was off to see the other quilts and I was back to shopping!

This was one of the quilts that said "WOW" to me.  It reminded me of the stained glass windows in my parish church when I was a child.  It was stunning in person. This was one of the quilts my husband liked.  We are very much into lighthouses so I took this picture for him.

This was another of my favorites.  It is a whole cloth quilt that has been hand dyed and then quilted.

This was an unbelievable Grandmothers Flower Garden quilt that was made up of hexagons that were probably 1/2 inch in size.  It was hand pieced and machine quilted and was stunning.  The back was made up of a large scale flower basket.  This one attracted quite a crowd!

Here is Nancy's trip report that was posted on the ng:  "Just returned from the show and saw Tutu's Dear Jane. It was awesome and perfection. Well done! Also saw Kris's manhole cover WUH. Also well done! Met up with AliceW, her DH, (the photographer) and Frood. The gals were awesome, too, in their animal prints, and Wendy's bracelet tattoo was groovy.  A lot of the quilts were breathtaking and inspiring. Bought a lame FQ and rayon thread for DGS's dragon WUH, some FQ's, etc. So it was a good day. Then we attended DH's class reunion. Who were all those OLD PEOPLE?!!!They had a good turnout. It's nice to see folks aging so well. Nancycog in MD
